Mancat Monday, an award for Kip

Hello friends, Kip here with some very exciting news.

 
I've been given an award by the beautiful Miss Penelope from the delightful blog Mewsings of Garden Cottage Cats. Penelope is one of six cats who live at the cottage, if you are not familiar with this cat family you simply must drop by their blog, it is an enchanting place and one visit is never enough!

I am supposed to tell you one illuminating fact about myself then select five blogging friends to receive the award, but because I like to do things a little differently, I'm going to tell you five facts about myself and then give the award to one fellow blogger.

1. I am the youngest kitty here but also the biggest; I am longer, taller and heavier than all my brothers.
2. My woofie sister is my very best friend in the world and we play and hang out together all the time.
3. I love my stinky goodness and I'm always the first to finish at mealtimes, if mum doesn't keep an eye on me I will eat everyone elses food too.
4. My gleaming white claws stand out against my black fur but I have never scratched anyone
5. I'm really good at yoga

Kittens, Kittens everywhere!!!

I recently found out that friends of mine adopted three kittens in March from the Forever Home Cat Rescue. There is an interesting connection here because the person who began Forever Home, Beth, is the same person we adopted Max from in 2009 when she was with Toronto Cat Rescue and writes a gritty blog which some of you might know called House of the Discarded.  Small world huh?

Just look how much these babies have grown in a couple of months!!!!

Thursday Thief

Jimmy knows there are treats in the bathroom medicine cabinet (can you see the green tin?) because he gets them in the morning after my shower and in the evening after I brush my teeth.

The problem is that Jimmy doesn't just want treats in the morning and in the evening, he wants treats ALL THE TIME!  Currently he is trying to figure out how to open the cabinet and get to the treat tin.

Mum (in stern voice)

I don't know what you are on about mum, I was just sitting here minding my own business.

Words on Wednesday

At the beginning of May and again yesterday, our dear friends Madi and Mom from Down Home in North Carolina posted about a talented lady and fellow blogger they know named Kathy, who made Madi's mom a very pretty bracelet, earrings and pendant.

Kathy and her husband are full time RVers who travel all over North America, in her spare time Kathy makes beautiful beaded jewelery which you can see on her blog Crystal Creations.  I absolutely loved the peach starfish she had posted about back in November and asked if she could make one for me with silver beads.

This is the starfish that Kathy made for me, I just love it :-)  Be sure to pop over to Kathy's blog for a visit, there may be a beaded treasure in your future...and for the stylish kitty out there...she makes beaded collars too!!!
