He is dealing with it the best way he knows how.

Hope all of you are as warm and cozy as he is :-)

Tuxie Tuesday

UPDATE:  Look what my friend Connie from Tails of the Foster Kittens did, she made a Gif for me... Connie you ROCK!!!  Thank you very much :-)

It's Ben in the box,

or should I say cube.

I wanted to make a Gif from these pictures but sadly the free gif maker website that I use said the images were too large.  So you will have to use your imagination to see Ben popping up and down in the cube :-)

Tuxie Tuesday

On the weekend I was doing some framing...luckily Ben was around to lend a hand paw.

Kip stepped in to help also while Ben inspected the smaller frames.

I often wonder how folks manage without cat assistance!!!

Tuxie Tuesday

Oh hi everyone, you caught me having my bath.

I think there is still some grass stuck between my toes from my picnic yesterday with my beautiful ladycat Clemmie.

We ran and played all day, sang songs and catnapped in the warm sunshine, it was just great :-)

Tuxie Tuesday with Ben

Benjamin the Loyal: Ben is the most overtly loving of our cats but also the most ornery, he is a cat of extremes, highly emotional and demanding.  If I am unwell he will lie on the bed beside me with a paw resting on my arm and stay with me until I am better.  He will chase the other cats off in a proprietary huff if he feels they are interfering with his doctoring duties.

Ben perched on the pillows above me

As much as Ben adores me he is ultimately his papa’s boy and the lovefest begins the moment Robert enters a room.  Ben will literally throw himself on his back presenting his tummy for stroking and will accept nothing but full attention and praise.  Any perfunctory pets will be met with a disapproving nip, although he is quick to forgive these slip-ups.

Ben on papa's shoulder canoodling
Tomorrow we continue with Archie....

Tuxie Tuesday

On the weekend we bought a new dog pad to put in our tv room for Rio. When we're watching a dvd, she likes to hang out with us.

I put it on the dining room table for a moment while I got scissors to cut off the tags.

When I returned look who had commandeered it.

Posing shamelessly.

In hopes of keeping it for himself.

Poor Rio doesn't get a much of a break living with so many kitty brothers...check out her other bed in the sunroom :-)

Tuxie Tuesday

Can you guess where I am?

From this vantage point I can survey my entire kingdom...

You down there, loyal subject, you may worship my Tuxiness by kissing my paw

Jimmy: "you've got to be kidding!"

Tuxie Tuesday

Hi there kids, I have a little story to tell you.  Yesterday I threw up on my brother Kip...

I was sitting on mum's new demi-lune table, you can see it a little in the background just over my shoulder, and suddenly I was overcome with a nasty furball.  Well I didn't have time to jump down I just vomited where I was.  Half of it landed on the table and if that wasn't bad enough, the other half landed on Kip who had walked over to see what all the noise was about and was standing on the floor underneath me.

Believe me when I tell you guys it was completely accidental like. When one is in the throes of a devil furball there is no time to yell at your younger brother to get out of the way.  Mum was walking into the bedroom when all this happened and was just in time to see Kip get splatted on the top of his head and back of the ear. He didn't even flinch or run off, he just stood there, mum thinks maybe he didn't realize what happened.

She picked Kipper up and rushed down the hall to the bathroom, grabbed some toilet paper to wipe off the vomit then washed his head with warm water.  He is such an easygoing fellow he just sat on the bathroom counter while mum fixed him up, then he gave his head a shake and followed mum back into the bedroom.  Mum had paper towels to clean up the little mess and they both wanted to check and see if I was okay.

I was totally fine, it always feels good to get rid of one of those things.  The best part though was that Kip wasn't mad or anything.  Frankly, I don't know if I would have been so relaxed if someone barfed on ME!!!  I'm glad I have such a great brother :-)

Tuxie Tuesday and an Interloper

Hi cats and kittens, Ben here.  Everyone knows that I inspect Daddy's shirts when they come back from the cleaners.  I lie on the bags, give them the once over then tell Daddy they are okay to wear...

overseeing shirts
So just before Christmas when a load of shirts came home I knew I would be busy....but then....

Jimmy, WTF!!!
Jimmy was totally in the way, little brothers can be tiresome sometimes

Busy Ben
I had to improvise and assess the shirts from up top by the hangers

Jimmy thwarts Ben's efforts
Jimmy had no clue what to do and just sat there while I checked the other side

Jimmy speaks: "Ha, ha, ha, occasionally big brothers are just far too serious and you to mess with them"  :-)
