Tuesday Taste Test

Hi kids,  mum and dad have been trying to get us to eat some premium wet food that is grain free, but it has been difficult finding something that we all like.  First we tried trout but Casper wasn't impressed.

Casper is leaving after a brief nibble

Then we tried a salmon mix but Jimmy didn't like it (although we love salmon water from real salmon when mum and dad open a tin).  Who ever heard of cats that didn't like fish cat food?

Jimmy is missing from the picture

Then we tried a turkey/duck/chicken combo, mum calls it "turduckin" and we all gobbled it up!!!

nom, nom, nom

Now if mum and dad can just find a new grain-free kibble that everyone likes we will be all set!!!

PS - is anyone else finding that their reading list keeps disappearing now that blogger has switched to the new format?

Turduckin? Well, there's a name and a half!

Yes, my reading list often disappears but it always comes back. Just check your stats or comments or something and it'll pop right back up afterwards.

We will NOT eat any kind of grain free foods. So we will just have to have the other kind of food. We do try to eat mostly canned food but with so many here, that is hard to do too. We have been off the Google reader for a long time. Anyway, have a great day. Take care.

Paws crossed for a food you'll all continue to eat. LOL. Wait, wait...We say eat it until they buy a case of it, then refuse to touch it. :-P

Try Nature's Variety Instinct, if you haven't already, comes in various flavours. We get the chicken meal one (grain and potato free), but ground up and sprinkled on canned, because the kibble pieces are too small for Derry to pick up.

I'll get mommy to try that flavor TOO! hehehe. IMom has new blogger on her human blog and after a year (yep, she has had it that long) the only time she can find the reading list is when she first logs in. So she has to read THEN before she blogs because she so far has not been able to click and clack around to find it AFTER she blogs.

What about Evo duck, venison, or rabbit? We love those, especially the duck!

Hehehe it's hard to accomodate everbody's (gourmet) taste! ;)
Thank you for accepting Zoe's invitation!!! She's eagerly awaiting your handsome boys at her party! :)

I don't like Blogger's new interface and have switched back to the old one... I was already happy, but today there's a note saying they will permanently remove the old version permanently next month! :(

That sounds about normal, with six of us that is a challenge!

mom says that with several cats her only thought with finding one they agree on is....good luck. haha

our blog list disappears too - we agree that clicking on something else and coming back fixes it (most of the time)

Thank you for the 'Happy Anniversary' on my blog Cat :)

Good Luck with the 'food they all like' hunt! And I thought I had problems with just two cats :)

My two just seem to like Felix Ocean Feasts (a wet food) but none of the other Felix varieties and will sometimes have a little chew of the Science Plan Oral Hygiene dry food ..... but not as a regular food. Oh No! The dry food is only if they really have to 'cos there is nothing else available!!

Neither of them like titbits of meat fom our meals .... the only cats I have ever had who turn their noses up at 'real meat'!!

The "blogger" sometimes is so bad... afff!
Hmmmm, the taste test is delicious!!! My cats love that!

I'm happy you finally found something that all four of your boys can agree upon.

My kitties get very finicky. They like a certain type of food one day, and not the next.

For kibble we swear by Blue Mountain!

It must be difficult to find food that everyone likes. My boys are on grain free wet food, too, and I had to try some different brand/fravor until I found the one they like.
I have not updated my blog to the newer version yet. I am kind of scared that there might be problems like you mentioned...

Golly Gee your Fab Five are making my mouth water talking about all the yummie food. MOL Mom made salmon patties for supper last night. I always get a good pinch of it before she mixes in the other ingredients.
Currently we have no problems with blogger...we hope we are flying under the radar. February was our month of problems

I'm picky and keep changing my mind on what I like, so I'm afraid I'm no help! Although I do have to say that any sort of poultry cat food is usually a winner for me.

Cute Test photos !

Sorry, we have no idea for grain free food. We are from Germany and we don´t have the same food like you.

Good luck to find the best food, that all your kitties like ♥

We are glad that you got what you wanted. Now if you can get that kibble you need, you'll be all set. Bon appetit!

O that sure does sound good our mom gets the mixed kind of wet food and just puts two of each kind out and we all eventually find one we like and they all get eaten up.

We'd love to meet a Turduckin in real life! We eat Blue kibbles and it's tasty.

That taste test looks kind of fun to us! :) Glad to hear everybuddy agreed on something, too.

The new Blogger reading list is such a pain in the neck. I've been using Google reader the last two days ... it's a little easier to manage than the new Blogger list...

Oh we just love the 'dining room' with all of you enjoying your fine viddles.

We suspect (but don't know) that Blogger is still messing with things behind the scenes and hopefully some of these pesky issues will clear up once the move is permanent for all the blogs. I'm just learning how to use it.

I only use READER now to access blogs.

Turduckin sounds fun!
Glogirly just switched my dry kibble to a new grain-free by Science Diet. She bought a small bag and barely had to "transition" me over because I gobbled it up like candy. She jut brought home the big bag and I'm still liking it. I'm drinking alot of water though...don't know about that.

Bosco is a very good eater but I struggle with Ollie. He loves his biscuits but hardly eats any wet and I love them to have both... Ahh the joys of cat ownership ;o)

Good to see you found something you all like :) We all mostly like any stinky goodness, but we only get it when Tiger has fer pills, every 4 days :/
Our reading list on the dashboard
( blogs we follow) works fine for us. We like that the display is bigger than the old format. We hope that Blogger is just tweaking things and it will work for you soon :)
Thee are some other minor issues we have when posting though.

we all eat something different and our mom says she feels like a short order cook :D you know, Pip is intolerant to fishy foods - she'll eat them fine but it doesn't stay down long :p

Our reading list seems to be ok - we had problems on the old blogger and sometimes our dashboard would say we weren't following anyone! That's always good for a momentary freak-out, mol!

We eat grain free foods too. There are some new good dry ones out there. We're sure you'll find one you love!

Oui Oui said...

We switched back to the old format. Its just a lot faster to use & the reading list doesn't disappear. Our mom throws her hands in the air when it comes to food. Oui Oui is such a picky eater. She can decide something she ate one day is just disgusting the next and never eat it again.

Do not like the new blogger interface at all, had tons of problems with it the past 2 days so was late in posting. As for dry grain-free maybe try Acana Wild Prairie (Chicken, fish, eggs) or Innova Prime (chicken & turkey) or EVO (same company). Halo soft food is also a hit in different flavors.
