Kip, you are a smart boy to realize that indoors is better. Being feral is a very hard life. My kitties like to sit in the window and watch the outdoors but they don't want to be there. It's scary!!!

Yes, indoor cats are safe. I catch mine periodically looking (and in the warm months, smelling) wistfully out of windows. But we're having a spring snowstorm here, and the temperature is low. When I see my four snoozing comfortably while it snows outside, I'm glad they are indoor cats only.
