Thankful Thursday

There are few things I can think of that I am more thankful for than my cats.  They fill my days with joy, bring harmony and balance into my life, restore me when I am weary and help me to remember what is truly important.  As many of you know two of my beloved boys came from Chrystal's private rescue in Illinois; Jimmy almost a year and a half ago and Kip just four months ago.  I thank my lucky stars every day that Chrystal was able to save them as kittens which started the chain of events that led them to my house....

Kitten season is almost upon us but before it's even begun Chrystal has eleven infant kittens and three mums in her care.  That number could double in no time and there won't be any room for newcomers.  I am asking for help to spread the word that there are ten gorgeous and highly adoptable adult cats at Chrystal's cat house right now!!!  These cats have been patiently waiting for their forever homes, and an adoption at this time would free up much needed space for the the kitten crunch that is on it's way.   Please view the beautiful cats I have re-posted here from the Winnie's Wish link on Petfinder and consider opening your home and heart to give one of them or two the loving family they deserve :-)  Don't let location, yours or Chrystal's, be a deterrent in considering adoption because the Cat Blogosphere can band together and transport a kitty just about anywhere in the US or Canada!!!

I can safely say that you will not be disappointed with a Winnie's Wish kitty, they are pure LOVE!!!

Hello, Cat,

So nice of you to try to find a forever home for these sweeties! I hope they will have luck (as their humans will be lucky...).

Our inn is full, as you said when you welcomed Kip!:-)

Have a nice day!

It breaks my heart to know that cats just like these are longing for a loving home all over the world.
I know where my money would go if I ever came into a large amount, straight on helping cats and kittens like these.
I do hope they all find loving homes soon, they are all such beautiful cats.

Good post, Cat. We hope Chrystal has much success in finding homes.

Kitten season will be starting early this year, with the crazy-warm winter we've had, and it's going to be tough on all rescuers and shelters, we think.

That sure is a great post Cat and we sure hope they all find some homes. We know what it is like to try to find homes for cats. We have several here that really need a home. That is a good looking bunch. I will be glad to Twitter this and Facebook it. Take care.

this post is very true. Here in Brazil the new kitten season begins around September, when spring starts. Abandonment is a very cruel attitude and while there isn´t effective legislation against it, our efforts will depend on people like you, me, all cat lovers of this whole world!
I am grateful every day for the cats that made me a happier and more complete person.

Oh -- Frosting -- I'm not letting Fang see that. Frosting still needs a home. Ooooo, somebody, please . . . .

Hello, Nadbugs, I understand you totally, when I saw Frosting, I saw Fangs! What a beautiful, special cat!

Sorry, Cat, I know this is not a forum, but I had to show my empathy to Nadbugs...and to this special cat...

That's ok Looloo, I completely understand...I left a comment for Chrystal yesterday saying that I'd love to take Frosting if we weren't full up here (as you remembered)!!!

"If I were a rich man", remember? in the English lessons, we learned it was "were" and not "was", because of the improbality of being rich..

If I were a rich lady, I would spend all my money to neuter cats, so that all kittens would be desired.

Hugs,

Great post Cat! Hope it encourages some people to long for one of these special babies to come home to them. I see that sweet Frosting has a little fan club and I believe I am part of the club too :) She reminds me a lot of how I imagine Tulip would have been when she was young and healthy. They both exude super sweetness! But as you once mentioned... the Inn is full here (too) and our well almost dry :p

We hope some of these kitties, or better yet, all of them find their special home soon. We're sorry we are maxed out, but we would be more than happy to help transport any kitties that needed it.

Bonjour,
C'est pas facile de trouver des familles pour tous ces chats. J'espère qu'ils vont tous trouver de gentils maîtres.
Bonne fin de journée, amitiés, véronique.

Wonderful post. We send big purrs their way for each of them to find amazing forever homes where they are cherished. (We have always admired Glitter and Circe but we can't have anymore kitties either.)
