Well after two days with us (and 83 pictures already!) Ash continues to settle in and show us what a fantastic boy he is. On Sunday I took him to the animal hospital to give our vet his paperwork. He was registered as my new kitty Ash (no name change yet), and had a quick check-up. He was given his second booster shot, weighed (1.59kg) and got his sharp little talons trimmed. He was fine for the jag but became a wiggly little worm for his nail trimming...how can he hate that so young - lol!!! The vet noticed he was missing some patches of fur on his ears and head and thought he might have ringworm but luckily nothing showed up under the black light. He sent away a culture of some fur but we won't know anything for two weeks. He gave me a little ointment to put on the patches twice a day and hopefully that will help clear it up. He said whoever performed his neuter did a great job as his incision was barely visible! Then he pronounced him to be in good health (which I knew he would be because Chrystal had cared for him so well!) and sent us on our way.
Here he is back at the house obviously traumatized by the whole experience - LOL!

notice the tiny white spot on his tummy? |
This guy is such a lovebug! He is so happy, he purrs and does happy paws continuously! When Robert was having a little visit with Ash before bed last night he came out of his room and said "I think we've got a winner there"
|
he just loves his new cat bed :-) |
Whenever I go into his room the same scene plays out. Usually he is sitting up on the bed and he meows at me with his tiny but insistent meow to let me know he is not happy that I left him but will of course forgive me. I come over to the bed and he flops down for some loving.
|
cuddle me mum |
Then he jumps down to have some food, because nobody likes to eat alone, then back on the bed for more snuggles.
|
nom, nom, nom |
Here he is supervising my blog visits :-)
|
be sure to tell everyone what a good boy I am! |
He reminds me a little of my sweet Maxie, who's temperament was just so happy and gentle right from the get-go!

WHAT a sweetie!!! Ash not only looks like a sweet kitty, but he looks so happy and settled with you...as if he has been with you since he came into this world!! How wonderful!!! What a joy he must be.
OK, that was Mom writing...now it's my turn...
I think that Ash looks like a cool and laid-back kitty. I like that. Not too nervous or uptight...easy going....like me. I think I like this guy already and I've just gotten to know him!!! Welcome to CB Ash!!!

Awww....squeee....he had me at that bellah photo. What a darling :)
What a lovely new baby you have! It seems like he's a Mama's boy already. I hope you all have many, many happy years together, and that the rest of your furbabies welcome Ash without too much fanfare.
Seems like he has PURRsonality plus!
Ash is a dear sweet boy. He looks so sweet and lovable. He is so happy to have found his home.

Welcome to your forever home, Ash. You are just too cute for words! And I bet you will be spoiled rotten!
We are happy that you and Ash are so happy!
Oh he just melts our hearts!
Oh Ash is SO adorable! Maybe it's something to do with being grey ~ because Alfie Marshall, just like your Maxie, was happy and gentle right from the get-go! And he's never changed!
What an absolute precious boy he is. He's melting our mom's heart too. Ash looks very content already!
Mom and I are so happy your new baby Ash is working out so well. He sounds so sweet. I wonder if the gray DOES have something to do with it.
How are the other cats reacting to the fact he is there in his room?
He's ADORABLE!!! :)
Ash sure is a special one, he looks so delightfully happy!
Thanks for the update! Sounds like Ash is doing great. xoxo
Ash is looking quite settled already - he looks to be a real charmer and a very happy little fellow.
He is so cute and we sure are glad you found each other. What a good boy he is especially after that long trip. It is so great reading about him and how well he is doing.Take care and have a wonderful Tuesday.
We brought those ear spots to the vet's attention, too. My fear was ringworm. But the vet used the black light and told us all was well. After a thorough exam, our vet issued a health certificate and gave Ash the 100% thumbs up. Looks like from the pictures that Ash has had no trouble adjusting to HOME.
Aaaaaaaaaaaw, he is such a doll!!! Love the white belly spot. I think Mollie must have sent him for you.
Cat, you are a very special person to us, and we're so happy you have been blessed with Ash....and we're so happy Ash has such a wonderfully loving home....he so deserves it!!!!!

Ahah, the infamus white spot over da belly buttong...Ash looks like such a happy boy!
Ash is such a precious boy, and seems so happy to be settling in to his wonderful new home. It's been so heartwarming to read of his journey, and to join in your happiness.
Oh it is so great that Ash is settling in so well! He was just such a perfect little guy on our short part of the trip! I am not surprised that he is still a total lovebug. I hope that the bald spots aren't anything big - I hadn't noticed them in person (he was so sweet I just didn't catch it) but when I watched the videos I did notice it a bit. Since it isn't ringworm my guess is it can't be anything too bad - maybe just some spot he is rubbing from a bit of a scratch from a wrestling match he had before the big journey. He is so so cute!
Ash is soooo sweet and cute!! Look at his sleeping position, it's just too cute. My kids have white spot on tummy as well.
I hope what he has is not ringworm. The black light is not really reliable. I hope culture comes back negative.
Ash is such a beautiful sweetheart; we're so glad you got that awesome baby, Cat!!...His photos are precious and he seems like a wonderful boy!...Congratulations to all of you; he's so lucky to have found such a loving home...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Ash is such a little cutie!
Milo and Alfie's comment got our mom thinking - some years ago she helped look after a stray grey cat at the apartments she lived in then and this cat had a lovely temperament too!
-Pip, Smidgen, Minnie
How sweet. Glad he's 100%. Why do you trim his claws???
It looks like Ash is making himself right at home. What a wonderful thing. :)
Fantastic!!! Are the other cats curious? We can't wait to see how Ash gets on with the rest of your gang!
Dear Caterina and Ash,
We are so delighted to learn Ash is making himself feel at home and by the looks of the picture, he's in heaven.
We are very happy for you and your felines.
Wishing you all the best,
Ms Kitty and Egmont
How awesome!
What an adorable little dude! I love those shots of him on his back with all four paws in the air. He looks so happy!
We are glad Ash is settling in so well.
So happy you were able to find the cat cubes too. We know all the cats will enjoy them.
