Hi All,
Some of you may or may not know that Ash had his neuter yesterday. Our little man was very brave and came through with flying colours. Chrystal said that in the evening when he was supposed to be resting, he was wanting to run around the house and play so she had to sequester him in her downstairs bathroom. He cried and cried in the bathroom to come out and be with the family and all their cats and dogs. I think this bodes well for his integration here that he is such a social boy!
Another great thing you may not know about is that our friend Amy from House of Cats has offered to help with Ash's transportation! At first I thought Robert and I would go all the way to Chrystal's (1376 km or 855 miles) but that is a lot of driving to cram into one weekend, so I asked for some help. Chrystal put the word out and three wonderful people stepped forward and offered to assist; Amy from House of Cats, Lee County Clowder and Meezer Tails. Chrystal discovered that Lee County Clowder was too far away from the route that had been established so she was coordinating with Amy when Meezer Tails contacted her and offered to help. Since Amy was already on the job, Meezer Tails volunteered to drive for the next adoption....
Which brings me to a serious topic. Chrystal has just found six more feral kittens in addition to the five cats already in residence at her cathouse...she is full to bursting!!! Ash will be coming to me, but Possom, Blossom, Alice and Sparkles still need to find forever homes. They are all beautiful and social kitties, can anyone out there find room in their homes and hearts to adopt one of these deserving cats? If so please contact Chrystal right away: c3k@lazernetwireless.net :-)
So the plan for Ash is he will recover at Chrystal's house until October 30th which is transport day. Now we need a name for our big adventure like Operation Ash only better lol! If anyone can come up with some neat ideas please leave them in the comments. Chrystal, Amy and I will all be blogging about our individual legs of the journey so I hope you will spread the word and tune in for the fun!

We just read her update, and that Ash is doing well. Hurrah! Can't wait to see pics of him in his forever home, Cat. :-)
How wonderful that Amy will be helping with the transport!
Wish we lived closer and could help. Still tweeting the other cats to find homes but with all the foreclosures and financial issues - so many pets are being abandoned and relinquished. Wish we could find homes for Ash's pals -we will keep trying.
We are delighted that Ash has had his operation and has recovered quickly.
Oh it is getting closer and closer, sweet Ash will be there before you know it. I like Team Ash, Sponsored by Winnie's Wish.
We can't wait until Ash is in his new home!! And YAY for Amy helping to bring him there!!
this is wonderful and reminds me of the Twitter cat family..they help one another when needed for travel and rescue.
I am MissusCatt on Twitter. If you go there and find me you will be introduced by that alone to the cat community.
Such wonderful people here in the CB, from rescuers to adopters to people volunteering to help with costs and transportation! Reading stories like this really helps since the news is filled with other stories showing humanity at its worst.
We are so glad that Ash is doing well after his surgery! And we agree that it is a great sign that he will fit in quickly in his new home!
We are following all three of you blogging about Ash and we are so thrilled for everyone.
We do hope that more adoptions come through because all of those kitties need their own forever home, just like Ash.

MOL, I was like Ash when I got fixed, only I had a spay, which is an even bigger procedure! I'm so excited that members of the cat blogosphere are helping get him to you. I can't wait for his new adventure!
We are really happy to hear that Ash is doing well after his surgery! We are very excited to see him arrive at your home, and we're glad there are so many people helping out to get him there safely.
We are glad Ash's hoohaa-ectomy went well. We will miss his arrival when you get him because we will be locked up again by then while the Beans go off gallivanting. We will catch up when they come home.
We are very happy that Ash is doing well! We sure hope the kittens find good homes. Lots of love, Holly and mom
I hope Ash takes the trip well. My Ashton sings the whole time he travels.
Ash is so brave. Target was the same. He was jumping up and down on the sofa within a few hours. Good luck with your other ferals

We are so glad that Ash's surgery went well, and that he's nearly on his way to his forever home! :)
Just dropped by to say YAY!!!
Yes, we are getting closer and closer and now Ash won't stop talking about Cat, and it's getting just a little irritating - all this talk about a new life in another country with the best mom anywhere. . .
I keep telling him not to talk about it so much around the other kitties.
Cat - thanks for putting in YET another plug for the kitties that still need homes. WE ARE DESPERATE!!
Hurrah for Ash and all the CB folks helping him! We are all excited to see him in his new home and find out his new name!
Thanks for popping and saying hi.
We have found that most kittens do just want to play after their op and seem okay after doing so.
That is really awesome that people are getting involved to help out with transporting Ash all that way.
That's great that Ash is doing well! And the story of his adoption and everyone who's helping is so heart warming. The cat-loving community is amazing.
We are so happy to hear that Ash is doing well after his surgery. and it's really nice to hear awesome human helping out to get him there safely. We can't wait to hear about his new family.
By the way, Please say thank you to your mom to join our page " We Support Rescued Breed " my mom did add your blog right now. Sorry for the late. My mom, she is a bit slow : )
We're so glad the surgery is over and Ash did so well; hope the recovery is quick and easy for him too...It's wonderful so many great people are helping him get to you...Hope the newest babies with Chrystal find loving homes soon...We hope you guys have a fun weekend and will be able to attend Calle/Halle's 6th Birthday Party on Saturday; we plan to trash the new house too!...kisses, sweet friend...Calle, Halle, Sukki
We wish we lived closer so we could help with transportation on one of these adventures to forever homes! Maybe if there is a west coast rescue in the future.
Please keep The Cat Blogosphere posted as to Operation Ash, we want to be informed every step of the way.
Love & Purrs,
