Friends on Friday

Kittens, Kittens everywhere!!!

I recently found out that friends of mine adopted three kittens in March from the Forever Home Cat Rescue. There is an interesting connection here because the person who began Forever Home, Beth, is the same person we adopted Max from in 2009 when she was with Toronto Cat Rescue and writes a gritty blog which some of you might know called House of the Discarded.  Small world huh?

Just look how much these babies have grown in a couple of months!!!!

This is Shea,

this is Farrah,

and this little black beauty is Corbin.  Welcome kitties!!!  We know you are going to have a great life in your forever home :-)

  4. Oh that is so exciting that those kittens were adopted and wow, what cuties they are for sure. I did go read that blog and we should have more reports like that so maybe the shelters could figure out a way to help the cats rather than just kill them. Love the pictures of the kittens. Have a great week end.

  5. What beautiful kittens - of course Mum was sighing over Corbin as she had an all black cat before we came to live with her. Shea has such an interesting face (so cute) and Farrah is so pretty too. We are sure they will have a wonderful life with your friends.

We follow House of the Discarded. She does fabulous work. Sometimes it's a difficult read seeing some of the things she goes through, but it's reality.

  22. I love reading happy stories since there are so many sad ones out there. But I know we can't close our eyes to the sad news, no matter how sad they are, because it keeps us vigilant to do something where we can. There are often times when I have tears in my eyes from reading Beth's blog..but I thank you for making her blog known to us readers because that is how I was introduced to it..and have been a faithful reader since.

Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments about our new kittens. They are all siblings from the sane litter! Their personalities are all quite different, and each special in their own way. Corbin will bowl you over just to get a hug, and purrs like a lawn mower. Shea is the most quiet, but literally does a dance when she sees us, that says "please pick me up". Farah has a lovely meow that sounds like she is saying "I love you". SAN & D'Arcy
