Caring Ben's Tuxie Tuesday

Yesterday I lost a letter, or should I say I realized that I had lost a letter when I went to lay my hand on it and it wasn't where it should have been...in my jewel box.  This letter is extremely precious to me.

So I spent the next three hours tearing apart the bedroom looking in every single dresser drawer and storage spot that I have for bills, cards, stationary etc, examining every piece of paper, envelope, file, box, beside table, nook and cranny.  When I finally sat down on the bed to text Robert (between sobs) about my discovery, or lack thereof, I saw Ben's worried little face looking at me.

I think he was watching me the whole time!

  1. Oh, he WAS worried about you! OTOH, my human SCARES me when she loses something! I hide... and then she thinks she has lost me too!

  3. I always tuck things away where they will be 'safe', but then I forget where I put them!!

Our four legged friends are always so intuitive to our feelings aren't they?

Wishing you luck in finding your letter!

  4. Oh yes I agree...Ben was completely tuned in to you...he seemed to be trying to offer you comfort with his handsome, peaceful face.

I hope and pray you found your treasured letter.

Not only are the words on the letter precious, but they are written in a loved one's handwriting. I have a treasured Gingerbread recipe handwritten in my mother-in-law's beautiful handwriting. Years ago when she wrote it, I never in my wildest dreams, imagined that one day handwriting would be a lost art.
I have the recipe stored in a sheet protector.

  12. Ben, you were sure tuned into the fact that your Mom was upset about losing that letter. Cats are so in tune to their Moms. I will never forget when I had to send my last pony to the bridge and I sat down on my swing and MewMew came and sat right next to me for hours. She knew I was upset. Good boy Ben for taking care of your Mom. We sure hope Mom finds that letter. That has happened to me and it is so hard. Take care.

Don't think of the letter, Cat, I am almost sure you put it elsewhere and it will appear as clear as crystal where, when you will not think of it...

    Smoochies to all the kids!

  20. Ben is such a sweetheart. Our angel Graphite was like that ... very in tune with human emotions. We have our paws crossed that you find the letter soon, Cat.

Oh, and we wanted to thank you for stopping by to wish the mom a happy birthday! Unfortunately, we did not have a great amount of traffic at the senior cat Sunday event, but this was the first time PAWS tried it. They will keep right on trying, and we *know* there are loving homes out there for these awesome older cats!

  21. I hope your letter will turn up soon. Have a good night's sleep, and your subconscious might offer up a hint on where to find it when you awake. Unless one of your adorable kitties finds it for you first!

What a loving and caring boy Ben is!

I say a prayer to St. Anthony when I've lost something precious, and he usually finds it for me - sometimes takes a while, but he really does listen.

I do hope you find your letter - I am sure you will soon.
