Molly Remembered

Today is the first anniversary of Molly going to the bridge...I really can’t believe a year has passed!  My house is filled with young cat energy now and there is always something happening here to make me smile, but I miss my old lady very much.  My head knows that eighteen is a good long life, that she was well loved and that it truly was her time to go, but my heart misses her constant purr, how she used to sleep on my head like a hat at night and a thousand other things that made her special to me :-)

I love you Molls, you are not forgotten!

  2. Awww - we think Molly looks like a gorgeous girl. Scott still misses Uncle Orlando (we only met him a few times) and Aunt Doris (She went to the bridge before we were born). They will always be with us because they were loved.

  7. I a understanding how you feel. My beloved Robin's anniversary comes Dec 11. It is a somber day for us too..we miss her. I smiled though at your precious memory of Mommy. She was a dear member of your family. That is easy to see.
Thank you so much for coming to see me while I was in the hospital. xoxoxox

  8. About our harnesses (from your question): we usually don't wear our harnesses on the deck now that it seems pretty clear Audrey is not an escaper. The stairs are blocked off with mesh and it is too high for us to be likely to jump. We DO usually wear our collars with our license tags on them, but on this particular occasion, Dad let us out for a bit without putting the collars on.

  12. Oh my goodness Molly was absolutely a beautiful lady cat with such unusual markings. Gone but not forgotten ever. Each pet we've had has been sorely missed at first, followed by such sweet and funny memories. We still tell Toto (our mighty mini Doxie and 1st pet)and Milky-way(our first cat 2nd pet) stories I wish the same for you.

  20. Gone but never ever forgotten... We had a Molly, too, a tortie who went to the bridge in 1998. None of the 3 kitties knew her but I like to think they carry on the cozy traditions. Your four boys are doing that for you.

  35. I, too, can't believe a year has come and gone already. After loving someone for 18 years, they are never going to leave your heart. Molly will always have her own special piece of it.

I imagine all that feline testosterone around your house is a stark contrast to Molly's gentle nature.

    Molly's still purring on high!

  36. Mollie is still with you all watching over you. Purrs from all of us.

  37. We missed visiting on this anniversary day, but we know just how you feel. Our Teri was telling a friend recently that she can't believe it's been 6 years since Bo crossed the bridge. He would have been 21 years old next month and Teri said she knows his QOL at that age would not have been so good probably. Just like our Dad, she lost Bo suddenly...
