My boys love to be in, on, or around boxes and there is always great excitement in the house when boxes are about. So I thought it would be easy just to go to my picture folders and they would be teeming with box shots. They were not. Perhaps I just don't have the camera out when the boys are boxing. I am pretty certain that I'm not alone in thinking cats love boxes, otherwise International Box Day would not have come into being!
Here is Casper box diving into my Paw-it-Forward loot which was ready to mail out...I had to seal up the boxes in a hurry or he would have made off with something - LOL!

Pam from the Califurrrrnia 5 (no blog yet but we're hoping) sent us this amazing package filled with goodies for the boys...you can see Jimmy jumped into the box immediately and made a selection
This is Archie diving head first into the Paw-it-Forward package that Amy from
House of Cats sent us. It was laced with nip toys and the cats loved it!
When I realized that I didn't have any pics of Ben in a box, I put out a shoe box with the hope of coaxing him in for a shot. He almost went all the way in, then decided just to have a chew on the tissue instead - LOL!
I think it still proves the attraction of a cat to a box is undeniable!!!

ReplyDeleteYippee boxes galore withe handsome mancasts everywhere. Ben Mom said the family's first cat LOVED tissue paper especially patterns pieces. He used to 'help' her pin patterns to fabric and often she would find pattern pieces had been died and ugly death due to kitty slobber. MOL

ReplyDeleteWe think you have great box pics--and boxes filled with treats and toys are the best of all. We had to use past Xmas box pics, for heaven's sake. We don't get boxes very often.

ReplyDeleteThat is funny. I did the same thing. Thought I had plenty of box pictures and not. So I put boxes out and of course they wouldn't go in. But your pictures are so good. Ben is great. Hope all of you have a super day.

I thought the same thing as you -- everyone in the house loves boxes and in my archive I was sure to find a ton of pictures....NO I couldn't. So I did manage to find a few but I was surprised...we have to try to take some more pictures I guess. :-)

yes, cats ADORE boxes, but some Moms are soooo concerned about clutter that they remove the boxes within a half hour of their arrival...hence, no photos of a kitty (that would be ME) playing with a box! Harumph!!
