Shabby Chic Day

Our friends Alfie and Milo are hosting Shabby Chic Day and we thought we'd join in the fun.  Although there are many fine examples around the house of my boy's decorating flair e.g. nose prints on windows, clawed screens, chewed blinds and paw prints on the glass coffee table, Ben has progressed far beyond the others honing his skills and I think you will agree that nothing tops this.....

Ben's paw-work
This is our living room sofa and Ben has had a field day scratching which makes me very cross!  You will notice the elegant tape that has been applied in an attempt to curb his decorating efforts.  The tape does help, the only problem is I have to take it off every time people come over and then reapply after they have gone.  It's a bit of a pain in the neck.
I hear tape is very in this year
I know all of you wish your sofas looked this good.  Thanks Ben!

  2. Ben you are doing a fine job decorating at your house. Humans just don't appreciate the work that goes into getting a sofa just right.

  7. Just to say thank you so much for your message about Archie - I see you have an Archie too. You have beautiful cats. I remember coming across your heartbreaking tribute to Max a long time ago and reading it, so tragic and I'm so sorry. I can't get over the shock yet of our loss, but it helps to know people care xx

  17. *wow* Ben that looks just like one chair Momma had reupholstered ... Momma didn't know Ping had done anything to it because she had a chair cover on it. When she took the cover off...oopsie. SHE was not happy.

    *sigh*

  21. Wow, Ben! That's some pawsome paw work you've done on the couch!! Our mom uses that tape, but she just leaves it on when company comes over. Our mom wants to get some new furniture, but she's afraid of how we might "decorate" it!!

  22. if Ben would just do it to the ENTIRE couch then maybe you would start a trend! :)

  23. Wow Ben, you look like you were having loads of fun. Our Mom won't let us do that. She has bought us lots of scratching posts and cardboard scratchers. Mom and Dad's sofa and chair is new. If Motor or I did any fancy fabric work, I think we would be in big trouble.

  24. Ben, that sofa is an original piece of artwork now. So much more than something to sit on!

  26. Boy Ben you are so lucky - to get to decorate like that.

Pellie shoots me with the water bottle if I try to do anything like that. I do like to pull books from the library shelves - but that's all I can get away with.

  29. Wowsers Ben! You obviously fall into the Multiple Genre for you artistic endeavors! You have fibre art down to the pat and claw BUT it's the art within the art that is sooo remarkable! We think your Mom's guests would truly appreciate your efforts. We do!!
