Mancat Monday

So here are my lazy mancats on the bed that they never leave these days.  I can't make the bed because I don't want to disturb them.

snoozing mancats...the coast is clear
I did some shopping for Paw it Forward yesterday so I figured with the boys sleeping it would be perfect time to do a little organizing.

Don't look too closely if you are playing!
After I began laying things out on the dining room table I heard a thump from upstairs and young Master Archie made an appearance.  He looked so pathetic sniffing the empty shopping bag that I had to give him a little something...I had a spare mouse :-)

sad Archie needs something this second to play with
A few moments later another thud from upstairs and Sir Benjamin appears "but mum we don't have any toys to play with" he said with an equally pathetic look on his face.

sadder Ben has such a hard toyless life
After he came downstairs and joined me on the dining room table I had to quickly pack up my work and stash it all in the closet for safe keeping.
Hide the loot
Oh well, I guess there is always tomorrow.  At least I now know what I have still to buy, so something was accomplished after all!
Ben lied
and by the way, just in case you were inclined to believe Ben's nonsense, here is just one of the toy baskets we have around the house!

  2. I wonder if the kitties could smell catnip or treats etc, and that's what roused them. They have such keen olfactory receptors!

  3. Hey, shopping can wear you out...but Simba might be on to something with the nip aroma!

  4. Oh wow you are so organized (unlike our mom) and we are so impressed! And we are the same way - even with brand new toys if we see mom organizing some we have to try and get more! So her plan of getting us some at the same time never works - we want the toys we can't have!!

  10. Greetings Catrina, Archie and Ben,

Wow! Your mum is very organized and very, very generous. As hard as it seems, we can understand she had to quickly pack up all the goodies and secure them from you inspecting nose and paws. However I am sure in turn, mum will go shopping later for a few goodies for you al, for we know she's a very good human.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the week,
    Miss Kitty and Egmont

  14. I laughed when I read your post...how true!! Beds can't be made up too much because we don't want to disturb the kitties! Those faces are precious...where's my toy....I've never had a toy before....love it!!! I bet the scent of the nip got their attention or like most kitties and dogs, they knew what you were up too and had to get some attention...and toys!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  16. Okay, I admit I was tempted to feel sorry for Ben and harangue you for depriving him... after seeing ONE of the toy baskets, not so much!

  19. My Mommy never makes the bed when I'm in it. Ever. She loves the extra kisses she can give me. Your boys look absolutely soft and luscious and kissable and snuggable. MUAH!
