Allow me to introduce you to the mama blanket. For me it is a faux fur throw that I received as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, for the boys it is a little slice of heaven. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them becomes completely Zen and peaceful when they lie on the blanket. I don’t know if the fur simulates a mother cat (hence the name) for them or what. But they all knead and purr and even drool when they are on it and they fall into the most blissful slumber you have ever seen….

ReplyDeleteWow, I think all your readers would love their own - how to get one? Does the cat fur wash off easily? Mom find regular fleece blankets tend to have the fur cling to them, so she would like to find me something I would love, that washes up well.

ReplyDeleteI always look at the baby blankets in the discount stores, and I found one recently that is plush velour on one side and soft fur like on the other. I have taken multiple pictures of Abby on it and she looks like she is sleeping on a cloud(in fact my screen saver is one of the close ups I got of her on the "cloud") -- these pictures reminded me so much of that blanket. And I look for the baby blankets because they are just the right size.

We have a faux-fur throw on the guest room bed and we both enjoy sleeping on it whenever we can. It's on the bed our cushie is on (the cat nap cusion) ~ and we agree wiv yoo, it's heavenly! From now on we're gonna call it The Mama-Blankie!
