I do that all the time to my cats. I sniff my dog all the time too; people say he stinks but I like the way he smells! It's a comforting Maximus smell.
My cats must think I'm crazy because I'll sniff a neck, say, "Why is your neck so stinky!"...then I sniff again, like maybe I was mistaken.
I used to love the way my cat's fur smelled! I no longer have a sense of smell so I can't do it any longer but believe me, I sure used to love to do it!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Yes! We just figured our mom was crazy! She burries her face in our furs all the time. Our doggy bro too. She says if we smell stinky that's a way to tell if something is wrong.

I love to snuggle my face into Abby's fur, it smells CLEAN...pure and simple and like clothes dried in the open air. I love it. I know she thinks I am nuts but then again she does the same thing to my skin. Her sniff tells her my smell is Mom....
Mom smells us often. She says that she loves how we smell ... people mention "clean" as a cat smell ... and she tells us how glad that she is that we don't smell of "woofie"!
We let mom smell us too and that way she can tell if we are healthy or not - if we are not the good smell is not there! Welcome to blog world and Ann did a great job on the header! Mom didn't know much about all this stuff either but just ask - everyone is ready to help!
We get whiffed on lots so there must be something to it!

Our Mommy is a confirmed Cat Sniffer. And not just us! She'll sniff any Cat she can get her hands on and nose up against.
